TML is developing a dashboard for Brussels Airport Company to inform travellers about additional journey times due to roadworks.
Brussels Airport is undergoing significant development. At the same time, various works are carried out on the Brussels ring road, including on the SPIRO and the Vilvoorde viaduct, which may cause temporary additional traffic disruption. To prepare travellers as effectively as possible, the focus is on providing clear and understandable information about what they can expect when travelling to the airport by car.
Based on previous traffic simulations using the MDVM model, the TML team translates complex calculations into concrete insights, such as the extra travel time on different types of days (e.g. weekdays or weekends). This information is then delivered in a structured format so that it can be easily integrated into the airport’s communication tools.
Thanks to this approach, travellers gain a clear picture of the impact of the works on the Brussels ring road and can plan their journeys more effectively.
