The Delivery and Servicing Plans BXL project helps ten Brussels-based organisations develop sustainable logistics plans. TML supported this project by working with Traject and urbike to provide expertise in analysing logistics processes, drawing up action plans, and monitoring implementation.
The Delivery and Servicing Plans BXL project was a collaboration between Traject, urbike, and TML. This bilingual consortium combined expertise in logistics, guidance of public and private organisations, networking, information dissemination, and project management.
The aim of this project was to support ten governments, Public Institutions of Public Law (OIP), CPASs, and companies in Brussels in developing and implementing a sustainable logistics plan, also called Delivery and Servicing Plan (DSP). A DSP aims to optimise logistics processes, adapted to the specific needs of each organisation. The approach is flexible and takes into account the situation and profile of the participating entities, but always puts the focus on practical, sustainable solutions.
The project consisted of three phases:
- Diagnosis and analysis: we started by analysing the organisation's current logistics processes, infrastructure, and internal working practices. This was done through site visits and surveys to get a good picture of the situation.
- Development of an action plan: based on the diagnosis, we drew up an action plan with concrete recommendations, timelines, and follow-up criteria. This plan included infrastructure and process adjustments, test projects with cargo bikes, and strategies for sustainable improvements.
- Follow-up: we followed up the implementation of the DSPs with two contact moments per year to assess progress, resolve problems, and adjust the plan if necessary.
