From 2009 to 2011
Transport & Mobility Leuven has finished the development of a model prototype named GLADYSTE (Global Scale System Dynamic Simulation Model for Transport Emissions). The main goal was to develop reliable, useful and well-tested analytical tools to address policy problems related to transport and climate change and to address the impact of sectoral transportation policies on a global scale and on a long term horizon. Using the System Dynamic approach, the model prototype consists of four modules, i.e. demand generation and disaggregation, fleet dynamics, energy use & emission calculation and welfare impacts calculation.
