Evelyn De Wachter is a scientist with a Ph.D. in Applied Physics and specific experience in remote sensing of the atmospheric composition and its link to climate change and air pollution. She worked for six years at the Royal Belgian Institute for Space Aeronomy on the development of satellite data sets of methane, the second most important anthropogenic greenhouse gas. She joined the RISE Foundation in 2019 where she contributed to a study on the future of crop protection in the European Union. She has a strong interest in climate and environmental issues and its policy framework.
