Drafting of the road works impact management for the specifications of the Verapaz Bridge

The yet-to-be-built Verapaz road bridge will connect the Muidelaan to the Afrikalaan via the Handelsdok. It will be the final part of a new connection between the R40 and R4 and will relieve the area around the Dampoort of the busy road traffic.
Witteveen + Bos is supporting AWV in drawing up the specifications and the tender.
TML, as subcontractor, drafted the lesser nuisance part of the specifications.

In consultation with B+W's construction experts, TML had worked out the phasing of the works and, where relevant to the nuisance, discussed the desired method of implementation and the organisation of the construction zone.
The works will be organized in such way that cyclists and pedestrians can always pass through the construction zone. For each phase of the works, possibele detours for car traffic and flanking measures are indicated. Special focal points, such as the passage for emergency services and the accessibility of all functions next to the construction zone, are elaborated.
