TREMOVE update
Update and further development of transport model TREMOVE
A TREMOVE update was performed for DG ENV to
bring TREMOVE in line with recent research projects and other models
used by the European Commission. The focus was on updating vehicle stock and
emissions data, based on the FLEETS ("European Database of Vehicle Stock
for the Calculation and Forecast of Pollutant and Greenhouse Gases
Emissions with TREMOVE and COPERT") and EX-TREMIS ("Exploring non road
transport emissions in Europe") project output.
On top of that, two new baselines were defined. The first, standard
baseline was based on policies adopted until the end of 2008. The
alternative baseline reflects likely policies until 2030. To ensure
consistency in TREMOVE development, it was aligned with the iTREN-2030
project Reference scenario.
In 8 sensitivity runs, the behaviour of the new baselines was
evaluated.
This resulted in TREMOVE version 3.3.
