Guidelines EIA Mobility

New guidelines for the mobility discipline under the various EIA procedures

TML, together with Antea Belgium, drafted guidelines for the mobility discipline, which can be used by environmental impact assessment (EIA) experts to prepare their reports. The guidelines are also intended to inform advisory bodies, promotors, and the EIA department. The document also explains how to address the mobility aspect, since such a complex matter plays a crucial role in the assessment of various plans/projects.

The guidelines address:

  • the scope of the mobility discipline and general principles of action in an EIA
  • the inventory of resources, definitions of concepts, definition, and determination of parameters, and default values
  • the significance frames per effect group
  • methodological aspects of mobility (e.g. counts, use of modelling, etc.)
  • data transfer to other disciplines
