Development of an individual travel time prediction method
Not only the increase of the amount of traffic jams but also the fact that a lot of them appear and vanish quasi-unpredictable are important reasons for an increasing attention for good traffic information, for the actual situation as well as for the next few hours. TML participated in the larger TNO - Vialis project PredicTime. In the project an individual travel time prediction method has been developed, based on the state-of-the art techniques. During the first phase, a functional architecture has been developed that should enable the use of a combination of multiple data sources and prediction methods.
