Drafting a vision on the future of the recreational cluster 'Moerelei' in Wilrijk

TML, in cooperation with SumResearch and lar. D. Vandekerkhove, was chosen as the winner in the competition for drafting a vision on the future of the recreational cluster 'Moerelei' in Wilrijk (Antwerpen).

The project unfolds on the site around the existing children's farm, velodrome and ice skating rink, ski piste, and soccer fields. The proposal features on the one hand more uniformity in the currently fragmented recreational site, while on the other hand it seeks a connection with the surrounding green zones. The children's farm will be revalued and extended with a farm where you can eat. This will increase the attraction of the recreational aspect.

TML will take on the role of mobility expert in this project, giving support in the drafting and elaboration of the traffic flows in and around the recreational cluster.
