The impact of investments in ITS in Belgium

The general goal of this is study was to perform a ‘sanity check’ on some of ITS Belgium’s estimations of the return on ITS investments. Underlying this is the idea that ITS Belgium can help realise 200 million euro in added value by 2020. A central question that surrounds this preliminary assessment is whether or not an investment of 400 million euro into ITS can raise more than enough return, in order to raise awareness by the public authorities. The starting point of the study were some back-of-the-envelope quick analyses performed by ITS Belgium.
