Coordination of research and innovation in the framework of CIVITAS 2020

As part of the Horizon 2020 program, CIVITAS 2020 focuses on innovation in energy-efficient urban mobility and transport. The European Commission supports demonstration projects in which cities cooperate to implement measures in an innovative way, and learn from the implementation processes and their achieved impact. On the other hand, innovation and research projects focusing on specific mobility issues within the sustainable development of European cities also receive support.

The CIVITAS SATELLITE project coordinates and supports the ongoing CIVITAS 2020 projects in the field of evaluation, promotion of their results, exchange of knowledge and further expansion of the CIVITAS community. The project runs from 1 July, 2016 to 1 March, 2021.

TML is responsible for the development of the framework and guidelines for the evaluation of projects. The existing framework for city demonstration projects will be updated, expanded and made more efficient. Additionally we will also cooperate with the innovation and research projects to make their evaluation results accessible and to provide a future framework for them.
