Advise to the international arbitration case "Iron Rhine" between The Netherlands and Belgium. Impact of the Iron Rhine on energy consumption and emissions of freight transport.

TML contributed to the Arbitral Tribunal pleading submitted by the Belgian government in the context of the Iron Rhine dossier. TML provided advice regarding the impacts of the Iron Rhine on energy consumption and emissions of freight transport. In the International Arbitration Belgium as well as the Netherlands submitted a dossier with their argumentation. After that, both parties submitted a further pleading. TML advised the Belgian team of lawyers in this last phase. A few weeks later the Arbitral procedure was won by the Belgian government.
